Biography

David Munguia Gomez studies decisions involving the allocation of rewards and opportunities, particularly in college admissions and employment contexts. He focuses on the ethical tensions that arise from the merit circumstances of applicants, as well as the inferences individuals make about applicants based on their potentially advantageous or disadvantageous situations. David employs a variety of research methods, including lab experiments, field surveys, and interviews, to explore these issues. His research has been published in leading management and psychology journals and has received several paper awards. David holds a PhD in Behavioral Science from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and an AB in Psychology from Princeton University.
