Biography

David's research background involves supporting school curriculum assessment policy in England and across the EU. He started his part-time MRes at King's College London in 2005, transitioning to a full-time PhD studentship funded by the Economic and Social Research Council in 2010. In 2014, David became a post-doctoral research associate for the Education Endowment Foundation project, and he began his lectureship in 2016. His current research areas include Educational Assessment, Validity, Psychological Measurement, Self-Assessment, International Education, Comparative Education, International Assessments, and STEM Education. He also supervises PhD students in international education, comparative education, and educational assessment. David is the programme director for the distance-learning Executive MA in International Education, collaborating with Nord Anglia Education and teaching modules related to international education and research methods. Additionally, he contributes to MA Education modules focusing on international comparative education and assists with the PGCE in Mathematics Education.
