Biography

David Fulbright Scholar, Raine Robson Fellow, and Clinical Psychologist, is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia. He is the founding Director of the Perth Emotion & Psychopathology Lab, a cross-institutional research facility including over 40 academics, clinicians, and research students. His primary research interests focus on the assessment, understanding, and treatment of emotional disorders such as depression, anxiety, and loneliness. David has published more than 90 journal articles and book chapters, examining how emotional processing and regulation impact a range of mental health disorders. He is dedicated to developing new assessment tools to improve mental health evaluations, having created widely used psychometric questionnaires. In addition, David serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Emotion Psychopathology and is a member of various professional organizations, including the Australian Psychological Society. He also holds an external position as a Senior Lecturer at Curtin University and is an Affiliate of Stanford University.
