Biography

David Vanzetti is an agricultural economist with a diverse career, having worked at the Australian Bureau of Agricultural Resource Economics in Canberra, the Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome, and the Danish Institute for Agricultural Fisheries Economics (SJFI). He has also held academic positions in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. Currently, he serves as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the School of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Western Australia. Vanzetti has previously held a similar role at the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University in Canberra for 12 years. His current projects focus on trade implications for developing countries, agricultural trade between Australia and China, and analyses concerning Vietnam's participation in various free trade agreements. With specializations in general equilibrium modeling and the impacts of climate change on food security and agricultural exports, Vanzetti is an expert in analyzing complex economic interrelationships in the agricultural sector.
