Dr. Dawn Joosten Hagye

Biography

Dawn Joosten-Hagye is a teaching professor in social work and the coordinator of interprofessional team-based education at the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work at the University of Southern California. She specializes in interprofessional education and collaborative team-based practice in adults and older adults, as well as working with families and caregivers living with behavioral health challenges and chronic life-threatening conditions. Joosten-Hagye engages in interprofessional education scholarship both at USC and on national and international levels. She teaches graduate social work courses focused on various aspects of social work education and practice. Her area expertise includes behavioral health, social work education, evidence-based practice, and public policy. Joosten-Hagye has received multiple awards for her work in interprofessional education, recognizing her contributions to the field and her commitment to enhancing collaborative practices in health and social services.
