Biography

Debra Sibbald is an Associate Professor at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto, and a Consultant in Education and Competence Assessment/Evaluation. She has extensive expertise in medical education, holding a PhD in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, a Master's in Adult Education (Assessment), and several certifications related to education and assessment. She has significantly contributed to the evaluation of allied health professionals and is actively involved in national health professional assessment committees. An accomplished speaker, Dr. Sibbald has presented at numerous international conferences. She has received 22 academic awards and authored 90 publications addressing educational designs and competency-based evaluations. Her leadership roles include serving as Executive Director of Assessment Programs at the Touchstone Institute from 2011 to 2018, where she developed standardized assessment frameworks for multiple health professions.
