Biography

As a member of the McNees Labor and Employment Practice Group, Denise Elliott focuses practice defending employers in workers compensation matters, providing representation and counsel to clients in employment discrimination and harassment litigation, ADA/FMLA compliance, drug and alcohol testing, and workplace safety and health issues. An experienced litigator, Denise represents employers in all phases of employment-related litigation in state and federal courts, arbitrators, and administrative law judges. She provides proactive counseling and training for employers to help them comply with the law and avoid litigation. Denise is trained as an investigator by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and assists employers in investigating allegations of workplace misconduct. With a deep understanding of workers’ compensation laws, ADA, FMLA, and Title VII, Denise helps clients navigate complex legal landscapes. A frequent speaker and author on medical marijuana in the workplace, her articles have appeared in various publications. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce Medical Marijuana Taskforce and has served on multiple boards. Denise is a certified specialist in workers’ compensation law and has been recognized with awards throughout her career. Outside of her professional work, she actively participates in community service and enjoys running, reading, and supporting Philadelphia sports teams.
