Biography

Derek David is a composer, conductor, and music educator based in Boston, Massachusetts. His dramatic and vibrant chamber, vocal, and orchestral music has been performed across Europe and the United States. Notably, he has received commissions from various ensembles including Juventas Ensemble and Verona Quartet. His music has been featured in significant events such as the LA Philharmonic’s Noon Midnight Festival and the Boston Festival of New Jewish Music. Currently, he is a Lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and serves as a choral director at Yiddish New York and other music festivals.
