Biography

Douglas Ready is a Senior Lecturer in Work and Organization Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management. He is the founder and CEO of the International Consortium for Executive Development Research (ICEDR) and is recognized as one of the world’s leading authorities on strategic talent management and executive development. Ready has authored numerous articles for the Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review on topics such as leadership development and organizational effectiveness. His work has also appeared in major publications like the Wall Street Journal and Fortune. As a repeat member of the Thinkers50, Ready is acknowledged as one of the 50 most influential management thinkers globally and was inducted into the Thinkers50 Hall of Fame in 2017. He has taught at esteemed institutions such as the London Business School and has guest lectured across various continents. Douglas Ready holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and a PhD from Cranfield University in the UK.
