Dr. Ed Hopkins

Biography

Ed Hopkins studied at Oxford University and the London School of Economics before pursuing further education at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. He joined King’s College London in 2023 and has been a visiting scholar at institutions including the University of Edinburgh, University of Pittsburgh, University of California, Santa Barbara, California Institute of Technology, and the University of British Columbia. His research primarily focuses on game theory and microeconomic theory, alongside behavioral economics, social economics, status concerns, tournament structures, learning, inequality, and marriage matching. He has conducted experiments to test various theoretical predictions. Hopkins is actively involved in supervising PhD students.
