Biography

Ed Martin is an accomplished entrepreneur and academic leader with extensive experience in technology and creative industries. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Memorial University, a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University, and a Graduate Diploma in Communication Studies from Concordia University. Martin began his entrepreneurial journey by founding the Memorial chapter of Engineers Without Borders, which allowed him to work on international projects aimed at poverty alleviation in Zambia. He became the Chief Executive Officer of Carnegie Learning Zorbit’s, an educational technology startup based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, which focuses on innovative learning solutions for K-3 students. His previous roles include serving as the President and Producer at Boy Entertainment, where he wrote and produced various kids' documentary series and feature films. Martin’s passion lies in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation within academic settings, making him a valuable asset to the Memorial Centre Entrepreneurship, where he hopes to inspire the next generation of student entrepreneurs.
