Ed Russell joined ANU in 1997 and has served as the Director of the MBA Program. He established ANU's joint program with Tsinghua University in Beijing in 2004 and has acted as the convener for this program, teaching courses annually at Tsinghua University. With over twenty years of experience, he has taught a wide range of MBA courses. From 2010 to 2015, he led the Research School of Management, later becoming the Interim Director in 2015/2016. His current research interests are centered on modern measurement theory in higher education and Evidence-Based Assessment. He has extensive experience in advocating for Evidence-Based Medicine in Australia since the 1990s and is developing innovative approaches to authentic assessment using advanced data analytical techniques.
