Dr. Elena Dalpiaz

Biography

Before joining Università della Svizzera italiana, Elena Dalpiaz was an Associate Professor of Strategy at Imperial College Business School in London, UK. She earned her PhD in Business Administration from Bocconi University and has served as a visiting scholar at McCombs Business School, UT Austin, and the Alberta School of Business in Canada. Her research focuses on the critical role of symbolic resources, such as legitimacy, identity, history, traditions, and narratives, in organizational change and the creation of new market opportunities. Elena serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Management Studies and is a member of the editorial boards for the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Theory, and the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. Her work has been published in leading management journals, including the Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Strategic Organization, Journal of Business Venturing, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice.
