Biography

Elizabeth Al-Jbouri is a SSHRC-funded postdoctoral researcher at the Determinants of Child Development Lab. Her research focuses on youth screen time and the use of digital technology, and its implications for mental health, interpersonal relationships, and overall well-being. Working under the co-supervision of Dr. Sheri Madigan and Dr. Ross Neville from University College Dublin, Elizabeth primarily engages with the Families Growing Up in Ireland projects, which aim to better understand the factors influencing the development and health of children and teenagers in modern society. Elizabeth completed her PhD and MA in Child and Youth Studies at Brock University and holds an Honours BA in Psychology from the University of Ottawa.
