Dr. Emily Truelove

Biography

Emily Truelove is an Assistant Professor in the Organizational Behavior Unit at Harvard Business School. She teaches the LEAD MBA program and various executive education programs, focusing on leadership and organizational change. Truelove's research intersects leadership, organizational change, and technological innovation, emphasizing the cultural, political, and emotional challenges that these transformations present to leaders and employees. She serves as an organizational ethnographer and field researcher, examining organizations undergoing significant transformation due to technological advances. Truelove's work has been published in prestigious outlets such as the Harvard Business Review and Administrative Science Quarterly. She is co-author of the book 'Collective Genius: The Art and Practice of Leading Innovation' published by Harvard Business Review Press. She has also designed and delivered workshops for executives in notable organizations like Qatar Energy and American Express. Truelove earned her PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management, a master’s degree from Harvard University, and a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. Her diverse experiences include living and working in South Africa and Malaysia.
