Biography

Eric J. Mlyn is a Lecturer at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and a Distinguished Faculty Fellow in the Kenan Institute for Ethics. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 1991. Mlyn has held significant roles including founding Executive Director of DukeEngage and Assistant Vice Provost for Civic Engagement. He has published several academic articles related to international security and policy studies, contributing significantly to the discourse on civic responsibility and democratic engagement in education.
