Dr. Erin Barker is a Full Professor and the Undergraduate Program Director in the Department of Psychology at Concordia University. She received her Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology from Nipissing University, her Master's degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Victoria, and her PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Alberta. Dr. Barker completed her post-doctoral fellowships at the National Institutes of Health and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Since joining Concordia University in 2011, she has directed the Lifespan Well-Being Laboratory, where her research focuses on lifespan developmental psychology, particularly in relation to stress, coping, and well-being. Her work examines how young people cope with stress during the transition from adolescence to early adulthood and the impact of these coping strategies on mental health and academic success.
