Biography

Evelyn Lai is a Lecturer in the School of Banking and Finance at the UNSW Business School. Prior to joining UNSW, she held the position of Academic Fellow (Lecturer) in Finance at the University of Sydney. Evelyn is a passionate educator with experience across a range of disciplines within a Business School context, teaching both first-year and advanced postgraduate level units. As part of the inaugural cohort of staff members at the University of Sydney, she was awarded a fellowship from the Higher Education Academy, recognizing her contributions to teaching and learning. An education-focused academic, Evelyn is actively involved in teaching and the redesign of courses, particularly through Integrated Year courses that serve as core components in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including the Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Commerce. Her research interests center on assessment feedback design to promote sustainable learning outcomes, the impactful use of educational technology (EdTech), and enhancing data-driven student learning experiences.
