Biography

Fanghui Liu is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Warwick, UK, and a member of the Centre for Discrete Mathematics and its Applications (DIMAP). He holds affiliations with the Division of Theory and Foundations of Computer Science (FoCS). His research interests are focused on the foundations of modern machine learning, examining learning efficiency from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. His research contributions address how to efficiently manage nonlinearity at both theoretical and practical levels, providing theoretical guidelines to longstanding questions in science, technology, and engineering.
