Biography

Fotini Diamantidaki is an Associate Professor in Language Learning and Intercultural Communication at the UCL Institute of Education, University College London, UK. She serves as a Programme Leader for the MA in Intercultural Communication, and is a module leader for Language Interculturality and Intercultural Communication in Foreign Language Classroom contexts. With a rich academic and professional background, she is a core member of the International Centre of Intercultural Studies and the Applied Linguistics Centre at UCL IOE. Fotini has held various roles including departmental Academic Rep and PGT programmes co-chair. She co-founded the International Journal Education Innovation Communication (JEICOM) and acts as Vice-President for research and academic affairs at the Communication Institute of Greece. Furthermore, she is on the editorial board of the Journal of Applied Learning and Teaching (JALT). Her extensive teaching experience includes roles as a PGCE tutor and as a teacher in London schools. Fotini’s research interests include Intercultural Communication, language education, and the teaching of literature in modern foreign languages. She has led successful teaching and intercultural projects in secondary schools and higher education, contributing to the academic discourse in her field.
