Gail Evans is a bestselling author of 'Play Like a Man, Win Like a Woman', a comprehensive guide that reveals secrets to success known by men and learned by women. The book has been translated into 18 languages and has appeared on the New York Business Week and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists. In her career, Evans began in government and rose to become the Executive Vice President of CNN, a position she held from 1996 until her retirement in 2001. During her tenure, she oversaw program talent development and the scheduling of 25,000 guests annually for CNN's national and international programs. A member of the CNN Executive Committee, Evans was instrumental in developing popular shows for the network. Before joining CNN, she worked in the White House under President Lyndon B. Johnson and was pivotal in the creation of the President's Committee on Equal Employment Opportunity. Additionally, Evans has been actively involved in Georgia's charities, served on the Board of Visitors for Georgia State University School of Law, and was appointed to President Clinton's Commission on White House Fellows. Currently, she is a Visiting Professor at the School of Management at Georgia Tech, teaching a course on Gender, Race, and Ethnicity in Organizational Behavior. Evans is also a founding board member of Greenstone Media, focusing on female audiences, and has received numerous awards, including the YWCA’s Academy Women Achievers compass award.
