Biography

Garrett Birk is a musician, educator, and arts administrator based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Prior to joining the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre & Dance, he served as a music educator in Cleveland, Ohio, where he taught K-8 General Music, Middle School Band, Choir, and High School Band. He is an active trombonist and continues to teach lessons in his private studio. Garrett obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he met his wife, Katie. He is excited to be part of the Engagement & Outreach team at the School of Music, Theatre & Dance.
