Biography

Gautam Ahuja serves as the Eleanora George Landew Professor of Management at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He has held positions at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business from 2001 to 2017, and at the University of Texas at Austin from 1996 to 2001. He was a visiting professor of business administration at Harvard Business School during 2014-2015. His research interests center around competitive analysis, technology innovation, globalization, and inter-organizational arrangements including mergers, acquisitions, and alliances. Ahuja's contributions to the field have garnered over 30,000 citations and numerous global recognitions, including being recognized as a Fellow of the Strategic Management Society in 2023 and the Academy of Management in 2021. His editorial roles include editor-in-chief for Organization Science and senior editor for both Organization Science and Strategy Science. He teaches courses on strategy and competitive analysis and has received various teaching awards including the Cornell-Tech Professor Award and the BPS Wiley Outstanding Educator Award. Ahuja has also trained numerous doctoral students who have gone on to hold academic positions worldwide.
