Biography

Geoff B. Rich is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at the University of Texas at Austin. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Baylor University and his Master of Arts in Youth/Recreation from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Rich has extensive experience in youth sports and physical education, having worked as a camp director in Hill Country, Texas for eleven years. He joined the University of Texas faculty in 2008 and has been engaged in studying youth sports culture, as well as elementary and secondary physical education curricula and teacher education. His research interests focus on improving the educational frameworks within which youth engage in sports, emphasizing healthy development and educational outcomes in physical education contexts.
