Biography

Georgios Fellouris is an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since 2020. He served as an Assistant Professor in the same department from 2013 to 2020 and has been a Faculty Affiliate in the Coordinated Science Laboratory since 2015 and in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering since 2019. Prior to his current position, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Southern California from 2010 to 2013. His research interests include sequential hypothesis testing, quickest change detection, sequential parameter estimation, and decision-making under communication constraints, as well as educational measurement and cognitive assessment. He holds a PhD, M.Phil, and M.A. in Statistics from Columbia University, and a M.S. in Mathematical Modeling from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.
