Dr. Giuliano Reis

Biography

Giuliano Reis, an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Education, focuses on science education and environmental education across diverse learning settings. Having taught elementary science and high school biology in both public and private schools, he has more than a decade of experience in the education sector. Reis obtained his Master’s degree in Education from the University of Brasilia (UnB). His research interests include qualitative research and discourse analysis, which contribute to his work in fostering a deeper understanding of science education. Additionally, he is dedicated to creating supportive learning environments that promote the success and development of students. Reis is engaged in interdisciplinary research that drives innovation in education, and he actively participates in projects aimed at improving educational practices through the integration of media and technology. Beyond his academic pursuits, he is committed to family and community and enjoys various recreational activities. The integration of educational theory and practice is at the core of his teaching philosophy, positioning him as a leader in the field of educational research.
