Dr. Goli Rezai Rashti

Biography

Goli Rezai-Rashti is a Professor at the Faculty of Education at Western University, specializing in Critical Policy and Equity Leadership Studies. She holds a BA from the National University of Iran, and both an MA and PhD from the University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Her research focuses on equity, social justice education, and the impact of globalization and neoliberal policy reform in education. She is heavily involved in SSHRC-funded projects, including studies on the impacts of large-scale testing on racialized students. Professor Rezai-Rashti has published numerous articles and a range of books on topics such as women in higher education in post-revolutionary Iran, racial justice in Ontario education, and the intersection of gender and education. She has supervised over 50 graduate students, demonstrating a strong commitment to mentoring the next generation of educators in fostering equitable education practices.
