Graham Roberts qualified in Medicine from the University of Oxford and completed his pediatric training in Leeds and London. He undertook a four-year clinical research fellowship in pediatric allergy and respiratory medicine at Imperial College School of Medicine at St Mary’s, specifically in Professor Gideon Lack’s group. Graham Roberts has held the position of clinical senior lecturer in pediatric allergy and respiratory medicine since October 2004 and was promoted to Reader in 2007 and Professor in 2011. He is the Co-Director of the David Hide Asthma Allergy Research Centre on the Isle of Wight and has been a member of the Executive Committee of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology since June 2014, serving as Chair of the Pediatric Section. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Clinical Experimental Allergy (impact factor 4.769). His translational epidemiological research program focuses on the pathogenesis and natural history of childhood asthma and food allergy, and aims to develop new strategies to improve asthma management, involving studies in Southampton and collaboration with colleagues at Evelina Children's Hospital and St Thomas’s Hospital in London. He works clinically at Southampton University Hospital NHS Trust as a pediatrician specializing in allergy and respiratory medicine and oversees the undergraduate child health teaching program.
