Professor Dr. Greg Duquette

Biography

Greg Duquette is a Teaching Professor at the University of New Brunswick in the Faculty of Kinesiology, specializing in sport management. His teaching spans both undergraduate and graduate courses, reflecting a strong involvement in UNB's multidisciplinary approach. From 2017 to 2020, he served as the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Studies, overseeing key aspects of academic administration and curriculum development. Greg has coordinated the experiential learning portfolio for Kinesiology from 2014 to 2022, enhancing the learning opportunities for students in the field. His research focuses on the role of value in sport organizations, events, and facilities within communities. Additionally, Greg is involved with UNB Kin’s Virtual Reality Lab, exploring the intersection of virtual reality, physical activity, and human movement. He has supervised various student projects, including studies on the narratives of retired athletes and the impact of physical literacy on children's development. Over his career, he has contributed to numerous academic publications and has presented his work at various conferences, addressing topics such as the dynamics of local hockey franchises and the relationship between sport and community development.
