Biography

Gregory Dickson is an Honorary Lecturer at the Australian National University. He holds a PhD from the same institution and has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Queensland. His research interests focus on Australian Kriol, Pidgin and Creole languages, sociolinguistics, language variation, and dialectology. He is also engaged in studying Australian English and its Aboriginal English varieties, along with the documentation and revitalization of endangered languages. His research includes a keen focus on bilingual education and the history and culture of the Ngukurr / Roper River Region in the Northern Territory. He is involved in projects addressing language and culture, aiming to extract insights and generate reports to enhance understanding of service usage within these communities.
