Biography

Gregory LaRosa serves as the Assistant Director of the Percussion Workshop at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. He is the Principal Timpanist of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and regularly performs as Guest Principal with London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. A traveling soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer, Gregory has showcased his talent at Europe’s prominent music festivals. He performs across a variety of musical genres and has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Andrea Bocelli, and Darlene Love. As a sought-after pedagogue, he frequently serves as a guest artist at various conservatories and universities, including New York University, California State University Long Beach, and West Chester University. Gregory holds degrees from the Juilliard School and the Colburn School and is proud to be a Scholar of the Union League of Philadelphia Legacy Foundation.
