Biography

Gudela Grote is a Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at ETH Zurich. She studied psychology at the University of Marburg and the Technical University in Berlin, obtaining her doctorate from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta in 1987. Since 1988, she has continued her research at ETH Zurich and has held visiting positions at several institutions including the University of Sheffield and NASA Ames. Her areas of interest include the flexibility of work, the impact of technology on work processes, and the management of uncertainty in organizations. She has published extensively in the fields of organizational behavior and safety management and works with various companies and regulatory agencies. Currently, Prof. Grote serves as the head of her department and is actively involved in editorial work for several academic journals. She has received recognition as a fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and has been engaged with the Swiss National Research Council.
