Gwendolyn Dease is a Professor and the Percussion Chair at the Michigan State University College of Music. She is a recipient of several awards, including the Withrow Teaching Award and the Teacher Scholar Award from Michigan State University, as well as the Keiko Abe Prize in the World Marimba Competition. Dease has a notable discography that includes four solo CDs and various collaborative projects.
