Helen Chun is an Associate Professor of Global Marketing in the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, part of the SC Johnson College of Business. As a behavioral scientist, she investigates various drivers of customer experience management, service design, and branding, highlighting the adoption of emerging media and digital technologies. Chun’s current work focuses on the implications of collaborative consumption, sustainable service ecosystems, and corporate social responsibility initiatives, with a particular emphasis on fostering prosocial and sustainable behaviors on societal and global levels. Her research has been published in leading marketing and services journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Psychology, and Journal of Service Research. In the classroom, she teaches Consumer Behavior and Marketing Management Services, receiving multiple accolades such as the Nolan School’s Teacher of the Year Award and the Merrill Presidential Scholar Outstanding Educator award. Prior to her tenure at Cornell, Chun was a faculty member at the Medill School of Journalism and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She holds a Ph.D. in business administration (marketing) from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University.
