Dr. Hannah Cao

Biography

Hannah Cao is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Informatics at King's College London and serves as the Education Director for Online Studies. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). Hannah obtained her PhD from the National University of Singapore and completed her MEng and BEng at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China. Before joining King's College London, she held several academic positions, including Principal Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore, and Assistant Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Her research interests focus on Computer Networks, particularly future networking and energy-aware IoT protocols, as well as quantum-based mobile ad hoc networks. She is also involved in distance learning, specifically the security and usability of e-learning systems, pedagogical approaches to online distance learning, and academic integrity in remote education environments. Her work has been recognized through various publications and contributions to significant conferences in the field of computer science education and cyber security research.
