Biography

Heather Hay is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy. She holds a PharmD from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, obtained in 2008. Her education includes completing an Ambulatory & Community Care Pharmacy Practice Residency at Scott & White Hospital in 2009. A Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist since 2010, she is also a Certified Diabetes Care Education Specialist (2011) and Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (2012). Hay's primary research interests focus on innovative teaching and assessment strategies, along with the expansion of clinical pharmacy services. She is particularly dedicated to medication optimization for elderly patients and has a strong focus on diabetes and cardiology in her teaching and practice.
