Biography

Henny Bos is a Professor of Sexual Gender Diversity Families Youth at the University of Amsterdam's Research Institute of Child Development and Education (RICDE). Her research mainly focuses on children in planned families with lesbian mothers and gay fathers, as well as same-sex attracted youth. She supervises Ph.D. candidates on international studies including the U.S. National Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study and collaborations with various research institutions across Europe and the USA. Notably, Professor Bos has been recognized three times for her teaching excellence with the 'Teacher of the Year' award. She has also received the Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award from the American Psychological Association's Division 44 and the Emde Boas - Van Ussel Award from the Dutch Society Sexuality in 2019.
