Dr. Henry Smith

Biography

Henry M. Smith is an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Education, where he focuses on educational leadership and policy. He has a rich background in educational administration, having previously served as the Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Affairs at the school. His career includes roles such as the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Education and Councilman for the Mayor of Dover, New Hampshire. Smith has extensive experience in public transit, being the New Hampshire State Director for Public Transit and a developer for the state's COAST transit system. He has also instructed at community colleges and has worked with various educational organizations as a consultant. His research interests encompass higher education, leadership, institutional development, and partnerships in education, alongside a focus on entrepreneurship in educational contexts.
