Biography

Associate Professor Hoa Nguyen specializes in teacher education and development, mentoring, and TESOL education with a focus on sociocultural theory. She co-led the Teacher Education Development Research Group at the School of Education, UNSW, and previously worked at the University of Sydney from 2012 to 2015. Nguyen has been recognized for her research excellence with multiple awards and has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. She has supervised 15 PhD students and received numerous supervisory awards including the Outstanding Research Supervisor Award from the UNSW Postgraduate Council.
