Huili (Grace) Xing is the William L. Quackenbush Professor at Cornell University, holding joint appointments in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Physics from Peking University, followed by a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Lehigh University. Dr. Xing completed her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her research is extensively funded by organizations such as the Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, Semiconductor Research Corporation, and Department of Energy, focusing on various categories including III-V Nitride materials and devices, oxide materials and devices, low-dimensional quantum materials, and logic memory materials. Her ongoing projects investigate ultra-scaled high electron/hole mobility transistors, epitaxy properties related to Ga2O3 and Al2O3 materials, conceptualizing non-volatile memories, and developing novel electronic devices. She has received numerous awards including Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Fellow of the American Physical Society, and the CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation. Xing has also served as an Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies in the College of Engineering from 2020 to 2022 at Cornell.
