Biography

Hyunjeong Oh is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Modern Languages at Georgia Institute of Technology. She received her Master’s degree in Education from Cleveland State University in 1999, and her Bachelor's degree in Korean Language & Literature from Yonsei University in 1996. Since joining the Korean language program at Georgia Tech in 2010, she has taught various levels of Korean language classes and developed new courses such as KOR 1001 (Elementary Korean 1) and KOR 3691 (Business Korean-LBAT course). Hyunjeong has participated in presentations on new teaching methods at the University System of Georgia's Teaching and Learning Conference. She is currently the coordinator for the Korean program and serves as an advisor for several student organizations. She has received several awards for her teaching effectiveness, including the 2016 Class of 1940 Course Survey Teaching Effectiveness Award and recognition on the CIOS Honor Roll for Excellence in Teaching.
