Biography

Ian Chua is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford Children’s Health and Children's National Medical Center. He specializes in Pediatric Hospital Medicine and engages in medical education and quality improvement. Dr. Chua completed his residency at Stanford Children’s and holds a Master's in Health Professions Education from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He co-directs the Quality Leadership Training (QUILT) program and the PHM Leadership Rotation, in addition to directing the ACGME Fellows’ Common Core Curriculum and the Pediatric residency medical education pathway at Children’s National Medical Center. His professional interests include educational scholarship and the development of transitional learners and junior faculty. He is active nationwide and serves as co-chair for the AAP SOHM Emerging Leaders Conference, contributing to the training and mentorship of pediatric hospitalists.
