Biography

Icy (Yunyi) Zhang investigates the cognitive developmental processes that underlie learning in complex STEM domains, focusing on translating theories into real-world instructional practices. Prior to joining UW-Madison, Icy completed a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2024, and holds B.As in Psychology and Economics from UCLA.
