Biography

Ignace Ng joined the Gustavson School of Business in 1991 and has been instrumental in the internationalization program. He acts as a champion for the international specialization and serves as the program director for the Master of Global Business (MGB) program. Ignace’s research interests include examining human resource management practices and training effectiveness, as well as the benefits of networking, particularly in Asian workplaces. His goal is to identify channels that enhance effectiveness for managers. He has published in numerous journals related to industrial relations and human resources, including the International Journal of Human Resources, the International Journal of Human Resource Management, the Journal of Business Research, and the Asia Pacific Journal of Management. Prior to joining UVic, he was an associate professor at the University of Saskatchewan from 1996 to 1998, where he served as the director of MBA programs.
