Professor Dr. Irina Nikolova

Biography

Irina Nikolova, PhD, is an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) at Maastricht University, specializing in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management. She has previously worked at the Department of Leadership and Organizational Behavior at BI Norwegian Business School. Dr. Nikolova holds a PhD in psychology from the Open University of the Netherlands and has substantial research and teaching experience in Norway, the Netherlands, the UK, and Belgium. Her research interests include organizational change, the impact of digitalized workplaces on employee adaptation, leadership styles such as engaging leadership and leader-member exchange, as well as organizational climate aspects like learning climate and job insecurity climate. Additionally, she engages with topics related to smart cities. Dr. Nikolova's work has been published in esteemed journals including the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Human Relations, Work and Stress, European Management Journal, and Journal of Personnel Psychology.
