Dr. Irma Brkovic

Biography

Irma Brkovic is an Associate Professor in General Didactics at the University of Gothenburg, specializing in pedagogical work and developmental psychology. She graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of Zagreb, Croatia in 2003, and obtained her Master of Science in Health Psychology from Leiden University, the Netherlands in 2006. Her doctoral thesis in developmental psychology was completed at the University of Zagreb in 2010. With over 20 years of experience in research psychology and social sciences, she teaches undergraduate and master's courses in research methodology and developmental psychology. Her research interests encompass the study of developmental psychology, educational psychology, and methodological challenges in educational settings, focusing on child development and parent-child relationships. She has participated in various research collaborations and has taught at multiple faculties related to education and teacher training. Brkovic has a strong interest in developing student research competencies and the professional development of mentor teachers.
