Jaimie M. Woo is an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Southern California Annenberg. She currently serves as the senior director of development at Culture House Media, a BIPOC women-owned premium production company involved in film and television with a focus on cultural consultancy. In her role, she leads the company's documentary and unscripted slate and serves as a lead consultant. Woo began her career as a community organizer working on gender violence prevention policy in the Obama White House under then-Vice President Joe Biden. She has also worked as the communications director for Congressman Lloyd Doggett in the U.S. House of Representatives, notably as the first female Asian American Pacific Islander to hold such a title in congressional offices. Along with co-authoring a New York Times best-seller, she has used film, television, and creative storytelling to promote cultural change and amplify systematically excluded voices. Prior to her current position, Woo has worked as a DEI consultant and facilitator, producing impactful social campaigns for entertainment companies and associate-producing Emmy-nominated short films. She is involved with various organizations, including serving on the Associate Board of the Hollywood Radio & Television Society and as a founding board member of Young Entertainment Activists. She is also a semi-finalist judge at the Austin Film Festival and serves as a writer’s mentor for the CineStory Foundation. As a proud daughter of Chinese immigrants, she is a graduate of Duke University and holds a master's degree from USC Annenberg.
