Biography

Jake Hoskin is a Lecturer and Unit Coordinator for the third year in the Bachelor of Psychology program at Monash University’s School of Psychological Sciences. After completing his undergraduate studies in Psychology and Philosophy at Monash in 2009, he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma from the Faculty of Education in 2011, during which he conducted a research project focusing on attitudes teachers hold toward inclusive education. Between 2012 and 2015, Jake worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Sciences, where he contributed to projects investigating jury decision-making processes and the community integration of offenders released from prison. In 2016, he took on a lecturing position, currently conducting qualitative educational research aimed at understanding the undergraduate psychology student experience. His research interests encompass academic support for career development, student professional identity, and authentic assessment. He teaches several psychology courses at Monash, including PSY2061, PSY2071, PSY2042, PSY3041, PSY3051, PSY3032, and PSY3062, focusing on advancing students' skill development and understanding career pathways for recent psychology graduates.
