Biography

James Eteen is a Senior Teaching Fellow and the Academic Director of the Master's Management program at Imperial College London's Business School. With 29 years of experience as a management consultant, he has worked with leading consumer products, high tech, and retail business services companies. James has advised C-level executives and senior leaders in multinationals and mid-cap private equity firms, focusing on corporate competitive strategy, mergers and acquisitions, organizational change, and business turnaround. As an educator, he has taught postgraduate students in strategy at Imperial since 2016 and has received Teaching Excellence prizes in 2020 and 2021. Prior to his role at Imperial, James was an Adjunct Professor at Hult International Business School and taught MBA programs at Cambridge Judge Business School. He began his consulting career at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) in 1996, later becoming an equity partner at EY, where he co-led the Strategy Practice. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Certified Management Business Educator, as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Consultants with Chartered Management Consultant status. James also advises startups and small business owners, in addition to being a lifelong motorsport fan and a member of the BRDC Incident Team.
