Biography

James Gacek is an Associate Professor in the Department of Justice Studies at the University of Regina. He holds a PhD in Criminology from the University of Edinburgh, where he focused on the regulation of inmates, law, state surveillance, and community corrections in the UK. Gacek has completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Sociology at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
